Nick Stabile is Founder & Managing Member at DPLG. He has served in leadership roles at startups, nonprofits, and in New York State and City government. He began his career as a litigator at Davis Polk & Wardwell.
Previously, as Deputy General Counsel at Atlas Data Privacy, he led Atlas’s litigation work as in-house counsel.
Earlier, in government at the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), he led operations for NYC’s 2024 DNC bid, designed a $20M loan fund to advance equity in New York’s cannabis industry, and helped advance major real estate projects through policy and land use actions.
He has experience on multiple board of directors, including Citizens Union, New York’s oldest good-government organization. He has taught as an Adjunct at Columbia University SIPA, where he brings his real-world experience into the classroom.

Kiren Gopal is Senior Counsel at DPLG. Kiren joined the firm after serving as Senior Counsel in the Director’s Front Office at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau under Rohit Chopra, where he led groundbreaking work to regulate data brokers, remove medical debt from credit reports, and combat junk fees.
He has also served as counsel in the New York City Mayor’s Office under Mayor Bill de Blasio, where he advised the Mayor and senior leadership on a wide range of issues related to the administration’s agenda to combat income inequality. He also served as counsel on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce under former Ranking Member Henry Waxman, where he led investigations into data breaches and other consumer protection issues.
